Predictable but still enjoyable for that genre. I thought Dwayne Johnson did a credible job and I've always enjoyed him the numerous action roles he's been in. The part where one of his trusted sidekicks takes the money a leaves has been done a number of times but an argument can be made for the justification for it. I was relieved when Hercules thru several cathartic adventures was finally able to finally lay to rest the emotional baggage he'd been carrying around since that tragic incident with his family. Did I jump up at the end of the movie and fist pump the air yelling "Hooray for Hercules"? Not Really! Did my eyes well up when his personal futurist gave him THE pep talk that allows him to finally become the man he always aspired to be and needed to be or all would be lost. Nope! But did I enjoy the movie absolutely. Hell, I used to like the Steve Reeves movies when he played Hercules or someone akin to him and they were poorly dubbed.
