I bought this generator on the Wednesday before Sandy and thanks to Amazon prime I received it on the Friday before the storm. Sure enough the first blow from Sandy knocked out our power for 11 days. This little generator got us through those days by running two refrigerators, two sump pumps, furnace, sundry lights, and recharged various cell phones. The latter was important due to the loss of internet and phone service. The following are the observations I have to make concerning the unit: it generally started on the first pull; the wheel kit for me was an absolute necessity; you definitely need a long necked funnel to fill it with oil; the instructions left something to be desired in clarity; the Coleman line splitter is important to utilize the 30 amp outlet if you have more than two lines running to appliances/lights; it is loud, but unless you are willing to shell out a lot more money than it is something you can tolerate; tech support is pretty weak, between the constant busy signals and non-responsiveness to messages; the item had a small oil leak right out of the box (luckily it was slow and cat litter was helpful to soak it up); and lastly the Amazon ad and instructions refer to a gas gauge, well it simply didn't have one (I used a clean metal rod as a dip stick to check the level, you can also do it visually).
I bought this for high blood pressure after reading other reviews commenting on its efficacy. A little bout me: I'm in my mid-thirties and I've had high blood pressure since I was 26. my doc has put me on several different high blood pressure meds over the years with no success. 150/90 was a good day for me. After I got my son, my BP went through the roof and stayed there. I was in the high 150's, sometimes 163. I ended up getting scared and decided to look into this. I had tried Metoprolol, Procardia, Furosemide and another one whose name I can't remember (something with Lo...)
My overall reaction to this book is that it's both fascinating and appalling. In some ways it's sexist, but much of what seems sexist is actually true (wives generally do want their husbands to be strong, confident, a little bit Alpha - even if they won't admit it). Some of the advice goes against my religious beliefs, but a lot of it lines up with those beliefs - so I can go with the latter and ignore the former. It's written primarily for husbands who want to have more and better sex with their wives, but almost any husband can benefit from the author's advice. As a wife, I learned a lot about men and relationships from this book, and found some fun information to share with my husband. If you want to have more and better sex in your marriage, buy this book, read it, and follow the advice that works for you.
