i love the updated, information. I am a hair dresser and it's imperative I keep up on accurate learning. This book is a excellent tool. I refer to it often. thank you
I bought this as my first yoga mat, and it's fine, but not the best. I'm 5'8" and I find it a bit too short. This is even more annoying because it curls up on the end, and the curl hits me in the face during chataranga. If I sweat it also get's pretty slippery. In sum, if you're not quite sure that you're committed to regularly going to yoga, then this is a safe buy. But if you are committed to going, invest in either a Skyin or Manduka mat with rubber or jute. After two months of use, I'll be replacing mine soon.
I bought this generator for an emergency power outage, thinking I would never use it. When I received it, I could only test that it worked. It did. It sat in my garage throughout the summer. We joked that we were prepared now, having this generator, so there wouldn't be any power outages. Well, when hurricane Sandy was predicted to hit our area I went out to buy gas to be ready.(My only mistake was, I only bought a 2 1/2 gallon gas can. I already had a 1 1/2 gallon can.)I was now prepared! When our power went out we immediately poured in the gas and started it up. No problem at all. We plugged in a full standing deep freezer and a refigerator/freezer. It was still going 13hrs later. We filled it up again, it went again. We thought we would only be out for 3 days the most, so this generator would at least save our food. Our house wasn't too cold and we use gas for cooking. Occasionally we plugged in a lamp or a coffee pot. After the 5th day it was too cold to stay in our house; we had to go elsewhere, but return everyday to take care of the generator. We had to stand on line for gas, and unfortunately we only had small gas cans. Every day we thought would be the last, but it was not. We would have dumped our food at the start if we knew we would be in this situation. Sometimes we couldn't get gas so we just let the generator stop when it ran out, and we kept the appliances closed. Then we started it up again. And so it went for 11 days. When it was over everything in the freezer and refrigerator/freezer was fine.
What better way to teach the next generation how to behave in a police state then with a toy such as this? I'm really hoping that they come out with a toy in which the kids can play "interregator". Think of all the fun the little folks can have waterboarding those who "hate our freedom".
A friend recommended this book to me, and I must say it is a very good tool for anyone seeking to understand the relationship between food and the body. It serves as a guide to learning how insulin affects fat, and includes balanced eating methods, strategies for eating right, recipes, and even recommended snacks. The book offers unique useful tips and answers questions like How much protein is too much? and What types of fat are good for you? One tip I found interesting was the "two-hour fat window," in which the authors recommend you "eat frequently and think small" because the body will either use carbohydrates as energy or turn them into fat, so you must be careful not to eat more carbohydrates than your body can use for energy in a two-hour time period. The book also includes self-tests so you can better understand your body and its dietary needs. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is searching for a healthy, balanced way to lose weight, and anyone who is searching for a healthy, balanced way of eating.
did not clean as much as expected when used on tile -- then again, i could just have seriously messed up tiles and maybe i was expecting a miracle
